Tailored Estate Planning Representation
At Weber Law Group, PLLC, we get to know our clients — who they are and what they hope to accomplish through their estate plan. Our firm believes in building the estate plans people need. If your needs can be met by a will, we will draft the will you need. If you have a more substantial estate, we will work to craft the comprehensive estate plan that will serve your needs. That focus on our clients’ needs has helped us earn a positive reputation that we value. That reputation has helped attorney, Bradley Weber, earn recognition as Utah’s Legal Elite: Up & Comers by Utah Business magazine.
Asset Protection
For those with substantial assets and property, the reality of what constitutes an effective and comprehensive estate plan is much more complex, and requires representation that understands how to offer the asset protection that is necessary.
We provide comprehensive estate planning representation to our clients that can include:
- Wills — A will may be able to handle the needs of your estate alone or it can act as the cornerstone for a much more comprehensive estate plan. We will tailor your plan to your needs.
- Trusts — Trusts can serve a variety of specific needs and offer various benefits such as avoiding probate, minimizing tax burdens and keeping information regarding your estate from appearing in public records. Where appropriate trusts can be used to help children, vulnerable adults and serve other needs.
- Powers of attorney — Powers of attorney allow you to choose someone to act in your stead should that become necessary in the future. For example, if you are incapacitated, a person of your choosing can take care of financial matters for you. The benefit here is that you choose who would have that ability as opposed to that choice being made for you.
- Advance directives — Advance directives, which some refer to as living wills, allow you to indicate your wishes regarding your future health care should you become unable to communicate those wishes yourself. This is a very useful tool for clearly communicating on what can be a very confusing and painful issue for your loved ones.
Medicaid Planning
Medicaid can be a tremendously helpful benefit for seniors. However, gaining access to those benefits can require some financial planning. Our firm can help you understand Medicaid’s requirements and how to arrange your finances optimally.
